Happy New Year! I'm so grateful to everyone who has joined me over the past year!
While I shared a quick '2024 season' recap video/reel/TikTok on social media a few days ago (*cough* a week *cough*), I wanted to share a more detailed look back at 2024 here on my blog.
To round off 2024, I thought I'd do a quick recap of what this year has held for me - all the opportunities, people and spaces that have supported me on my return to burlesque and modelling this year! This year marked my return to burlesque and modelling after a year of traveling. It definitely took some time to feel re-established on stage and in front of the camera, but I truly feel I've achieved some of my best work yet.
Having the incredible opportunity to collaborate with so many fabulous photographers, each with their unique style, has been a highlight. It's not only resulted in some of my favourite shoots to date, but it's also significantly boosted my confidence in front of the camera. Below are some of my favourite photos from some of the most amazing shoots I have ever participated in.
I'm also thrilled to be back performing! At the start of last year (2023) my confidence took a knock due to various reasons I won't divulge. It took a while for me to get back up to perform again. But I did it! And I want to thank both Miss Ivy Mayhem and Mell N Dowed for that support. For both boosting my self-esteem when it slipped, and providing opportunities to perform and get paid for doing something I love!
This year, I've performed in more shows than ever before, and I even debuted a brand new act: "The Mystic"! I'm really proud of how it came out. The costuming and overall vibe are exactly what I envisioned.
Given that this is technically just six months, I am amazed at how much I was able to achieve during this relatively short time. The fact that I was away for a whole year, it becomes even more striking to consider the progress I have made since my return. I love how I was able to seamlessly slip back into this aspect of my life, as if I had never left.
Thank you - once again - to everyone for believing in me, collaborating with me, and overall just being amazing people! I am so glad to have you all in my life going into 2025!
